Workshop with Julie Picarello

I'm back from a really great weekend.  Learned a new mokume gane technique from Julie Picarello and spent some time with some friends while there.

Julie is so sweet and an excellent instructor.  Her work is amazingly beautiful seeing it in real compared to photos on the internet.

I am working on sanding and finishing off some of my pieces I made on the weekend and will post some photos of them later.

I take it the workshop you just attended was the one at Linda's house? I got to meet with Julie, Linda and JuLee as they passed through my area on their way to the workshop. You are very lucky to be able to attend. It sounded like a great workshop! Glad you had fun and can't wait to see what you have made. You're right about Julie being sweet. Within moments of meeting it was like talking with an old friend! :-)

Yes, Cindy -- it was the workshop at Linda's house. You should've taken it as well -- it was a lot of fun and some real surprises and a-hah moments!
